Cast Iron swivel gun from HMS Pallas
We where a bit surprised to see the broad arrow which is the mark of the British military, or now the MOD.
If you read how the HMS Pallas got wreck and how the Aakterkerke got wrecked its no surprise we found them close to each other.
Book sales going well, hope you enjoy.

Painting the Mrk1 Rigid Raider today.
Hi We are going to paint the Mrk 1 Rigid Raider today, and sadly put it up for sale. She has been a great boat and served first her country and then us very well. She has never let us down and she has been up for every challenge.
The Royal Marines don't use Rigid Raiders any more which a lot of the guys who are still in the Raiding squadron are unhappy about.
I will get some photos and put them on this blog. The Chiseller has bought a nice new rib with a new 70 four stroke on it. With all the electronics and the mag we are getting this weekend. I just don't see us using the Raider much.
My kids are mad with me.

18th Century hand grenade?
What I love about treasure hunting so much, is that it always turns up surprises. Started cleaning what I thought was a cannon ball in crud.
Now I think it could be a hand grenade. It is unlike any of the cannon balls we have recovered from the site. You can see the seem around it, and it has a metal bit sticking out of the top.with what looks to be a hole in it.
Any thoughts?

Good day today, some nice finds. One nice cannon ball, a size we have not found before, has some kind of casting mark on it ? this is also a fist for us. Nice piece of lead with nail holes in. This also has two half moon wedges in side it, would of been for a very specific use .any know ?
And last but not least a fantastic lead, un squashed ships pipe or scupper again a very specific job...any help?
A good days looking.
