Rebreathers out of Fort Bovi today

Shipwreck conference 2012 Plymouth

Had a great day at the shipwreck conference in Plymouth Yesterday. Some great speakers and some for me not quiet so good.

Got to hold a gold bar for the first time ever, worth about 240k.

Got to meet lots of nice people, all with there own little secrets.

Took a photo of Rex Cowan who found some VOC shipwrecks many years ago. Also a photo to show how busy the conference was (sold out)

And of course a photo of the 300 year old shipwreck gold bar :-))

Ice cold dip

Very cold out of the water today about -2, nice and warm in the water my Suunto stinger said about 10.5. nice and warm in my Xcel z-zip semi dry.

Let me tell you about the vis, born and bread in Plymouth been spearfishing and freediving all my life....but today, today the vis was the best I have ever seen, it was just for ever. So much so when I got it in was in shock! Just so beautiful.

Found the largest musket shot ever.

-4

Its about -4m here today, just deicing the car and then its time to get the good old wet suit on,hopefully another best day ever.
Sea should be gin clear and flat as a pancake. I will post some photos and the water temp off my Suunto stinger later.
